It has always been a source of pride at Pegasus that so many of our Owners like to share their stories with us. Equally rewarding is the fact that over 92% of our Owners report that they would be happy to recommend a Pegasus apartment to their friends and relatives. We’re very pleased to share just some of their comments here.
Madge Hanshaw – Acton
“There are so many benefits to living here, the Owners are so friendly and we enjoy getting together. The Visitors’ Suite is so useful if you have friends to stay because you don’t have to worry about washing the linen afterwards and we have a lovely large garden to sit in, which we don’t have to look after! I am also very fond of our Estate Manager, she has been such a help to me and nothing is too much trouble, it certainly makes a difference to know that she is around. Pegasus certainly knows what they are doing.”
Allen Bowen – Harrow
“Since moving to Pegasus Court, I have also started visiting the blue plaque sites around London and I have found around 70 so far, including William Bligh, Captain James Cook, Florence Nightingale and Ralph Vaughan Williams. London inspires me to build things and I’ve just completed a 7ft model of the Eiffel Tower, which was greatly admired by the other Owners when I took it to our coffee morning. It’s great to feel part of the growing community here at Pegasus Court and I am very glad that I escaped from the country and came back to my roots.”
Miss Ann Reynolds – Acton
“Pegasus Court is ideal for me because it is very close to the railway station and it takes 3 minutes to get to Ealing on the train, so I am able to return to my old haunts and meet up with old friends.”
“I really like the fact that Pegasus offers both security and independence. I have already made friends with my neighbour on the next floor.”
“I love the peace and quiet here too, and enjoy the pretty garden – you would never know your were in London.”
Marina King – Baldock
“Moving to Pegasus Court has taken many worries away, and the development has a lovely community spirit.”
“We have a weekly music afternoon, art and drawing clubs, and at the weekends we have a group in the lounge doing the Telegraph crossword - sometimes we get all the answers too! Many of us are also members of the The Baldock Society and The Museum and History Society. My daughter sometimes asks, ‘Do you spend any time in your own flat?!’”
Margaret Hayward – Baldock
“Everyone here is incredibly supportive. It is not only a place to live, it is being part of a community that cares.” She continued: “Most recently we all went on a trip to St Ives which was wonderful. And the annual garden party is a chance for us to get together and enjoy the bursts of colour summer brings to the gardens here.”
Jacqueline Hall – Shirley
“I enjoy regular weekend breaks, so I need a home that I can lock-up-and-leave without worrying about it being unattended. When I’m not caravanning, I often take trips abroad on my own or with friends. I can now go safe in the knowledge that the Estate Manager and my new friends will keep an eye on things.”
Kathleen Anderson – Weston-super-Mare
“Somehow I just got a feeling about the place – it was just as if everything came together in a moment and I knew I’d found what I was looking for.”
“At my age walking is the perfect way to keep fit and it’s wonderful to be able to walk right along the lovely beach front promenade at Weston. In fact the whole of the town is quite flat so it’s easy to walk wherever you want to go. On a sunny day you could be anywhere – who needs to be abroad – but in fact I love it whatever the weather.”
