At Pegasus we recognise that moving house at any time of life can seem daunting. Below are some of the many questions that we have answered for people considering a move, particularly those who have spent many years in their current property.
In many ways living in a Pegasus apartment will be no different from the life you value in your current home. We firmly believe in our Owners' privacy and independence, so you hold the key to your own front door and have the freedom to run your home as you wish.

What are the duties of the Estate Manager?
The Estate Manager is employed more in the nature of a good neighbour and is there primarily to oversee the day-to-day running of the development.
The Estate Manager will summon help in the event of an emergency, report breakdowns or maintenance defects in both individual apartments and the development as a whole, oversee the cleaning of communal areas and windows and ensure that the gardens are properly maintained.
Other functions of the Estate Manager include helping to organise, in association with the Owners, social and leisure activities within the development and generally maintaining security.
The Estate Manager is required to act in accordance with the Code of Practice which Peverel Management Services, through its membership of the Association of Retirement Housing Managers, is pledged to support.
Can I still have my own home help?
Yes, or any other service you may have used in your previous home. Details of such visits and their frequency should be given to the Estate Manager so that security is maintained.
Can I use a wheelchair around the development?
Yes, a traditional electric wheelchair may be used within the development, subject to the user holding relevant insurance and provided the same vehicle is not used for external use.
May I bring my shopping scooter into my apartment?
No, an area is normally reserved within the development for the recharging and storing of these vehicles. Vehicles for outside use are not permitted within the building.
What are Pegasus Lifestyle Options?
Our Lifestyle Options are a range of services which you can call on whenever you would like a break from daily chores or you would prefer services such as personal medical care (including eye, ear, teeth or a chiropody check) undertaken at home.
The range of options include help with shopping, laundry, housework, DIY projects and a meal delivery service. All these services can be arranged by the Estate Manager. The services are available at an extra cost as and when you require them.
